Giardiasis

This is the most common infection os the vagina, which is due to the the abnormal vaginal pH balance, the lack of the normal lactobacillus flora. In this circumstances the increased number of pathogen bacteria (anaerob, Gardenella) can be observed.

The symptoms are very specific with a grayes discharge and an unconviniant smell of fish.

This should be treated to prevent pelvic inflammatory desease or endometritis.

During pregnancy this infection can couse premature rupture of the membrane and preterm delivery

It can be well treated with metronidazol.

Yeast (candida) infection  

Very common infection of the vagina, about 30% of women go throgh this in their lifetime. 
The symptoms are unpleasent with yellowish discharge and itching, burning feeling in the vagina and on the vulva.

The partner can transmit this desease, therefore bot sides shoud be treated with antimycotic drugs (like Fluconazol, Clotrimazol, Ketonazol).

Trichomonas vaginalis infection

This is a parizite cousing symptoms like pelvic and vaginal pain, greenish discharge with small  bubles in the fluid. Bed smell can accompany the symptoms as well. 

Sometimes it appears after sexual intercourse, but it can be independent from sexual activity.

In case of the this desease is diagnosed both sides (partner too) shoud be treated with Metronidazol.
